Black women make up 65% of hair care revenue, yet African Americans have less than 20% control over it. Between cross cultural examinations and the love/hate relationship that African Americans have with their own self image, a lot of the things that black women due to their hair is to conform to society's standard of beauty and not necessarily their own.
